Mable Bernice (Hailey) Mullins

Mrs. Mable Bernice Hailey Mullins, 89, of 403 Fourth Street, Martinsville, VA transitioned on Sunday, March 9, 2024 at UNC Medical Center in Chapel Hill, NC,  She was born May 25, 1935 in Henry County, VA a daughter of the late George and Cora Webster Hailey.  She was the last of her generation. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, John B. Mullins and one daughter, Germaine Pritchett.

She was retired from Pannil Knitting after 20 plus years of service and was a member of Jerusalem Christian Church (DOC).

She is survived by two daughters, Gale (Charlie) Wilson, of Axton, VA and Karen (Rob) Adams of Martinsville, VA; two sons, Lonnie and George Mullins both of Martinsville, VA; 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 15, 2025 at 12:00 PM at Jerusalem Christian Church with Rev. Robert Smith, officiating.  Burial will follow in Carver Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends at the church one half hour prior to the funeral and will be at the home at 403 Fourth Street, Martinsville, VA at other times.  A public viewing will be held Friday March 14, 2025 from 1:00 to 5:00 PM at Hines Funeral Services.
