Hines Funeral Services, Inc. is the brainchild of its president, Nathan A. Hines. Having been in the funeral profession for most of his life, his greatest ambition was to own and manage his own funeral home. With a caring and loving wife (Claudia), Nathan decided it was time to complete business plan that was started years ago. With and undying determination to see his dream complete, he assembled a board of directors and investors and sat out to establish a funeral home that cared for families before and after the funeral. Nathan did this by not taking no for an answer even though he was turned down by five banks.

The Hines family realized the culmination of a dream when the keys to a piece of property was handed over to them on September 26, 2000. The property located at 903 Starling Ave, Martinsville, VA is a true testament to be belief that if it can be conceived then it can be achieved. Believing in an all powerful and all knowing God is a must, because it is then that you realize that dreams real come true.
