Leroy Gill, 81, of Martinsville, VA transitioned on Friday, March 27, 2026 at Mulberry Creek Nursing and Rehab Center. He was born March 14, 1945 a son of the late Frederick and Sarah Mitchell Gill. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one sister, Althea Brown and eight brothers, Fredrick, Jr., William, Vernon, Clifford, Donald, Elmer, Harry and Leon Gill.
He was a U. S. Army veteran and was retired from E. I. Dupont and Mulberry Creek Nursing and Rehab Center and was a member of St. Paul High Street Baptist Church..
He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Odessie Harris Gill, of the home; one son, Tony (Tracey) Gill, of Creedmoor, NC; one brother, Charles (Cheryll) Gill, of Richmond, VA; one sister, Shirley (Bertain) Beasley, of Richmond, VA; two grandsons, Jalen and Donovan Gill; one granddaughter, Danelle Livingston; six sisters in law, Malena Gill, Kitty Kelly, Barbara Harris, Katherine Harris, Pandora Gill, Priscilla Harris and one god daughter, Karlett Motley an a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Friday, April 3, 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Greater Pentecostal Holiness Church with Pastor Amy Christine Hodge, eulogist. Burial will follow in Carver Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the funeral and will be at the home from 12:00 to 6:00 PM at other times.
A public viewing will be held Thursday, April 2, 2026 from 1:00 to 5:00 PM at Hines Funeral Services.
