Lenin Burnart Kirby, Sr., 73, of 1178 Banner Street, Martinsville, VA transitioned on Monday, May 22, 2023 at the V A Medical Center in Salem, VA. He was born May 2, 1950 a son of the late Benjamin and Virginia Philpott Kirby. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by on sister, Angela Kirby.
He was a former employee of West Window Company and was a U. S. Navy veteran.
Those left to cherish his memory include one son, Lenin B. Kirby, Jr., of Collinsville, VA; two sisters, Norris (Alphonso) Hampton and Carol (Taylor) Farris, both of Martinsville, VA; four brothers, Irvin (Lois) Kirby and Alonzo (Gloria) Kirby, both of Axton, VA; Donald (Brenda) Kirby, of Martinsville, VA; and Alfonso (Julie) Kirby, of Alexandria, VA.
Graveside services will be held will be held Saturday, May 27, 2023 at 11:30 AM at the Philpott Family Cemetery on Terry's Mountain Rd, Martinsville, VA.
A public viewing will be held at Hines Funeral Services on Friday, May 26, 2023 from 1:00 to 5:00 PM and will be at the home of a brother (Donald) 1178 Banner Street at other times.
