Helen Elaine (Berry) Mack

Mrs. Helen Elaine Berry Mack, 93, of Martinsville, VA transitioned on Friday, October 6, 2023 at Sovah Memorial Hospital of Martinsville and Henry County.  She was born in Lexington, KY on May 6, 1930 a daughter of the late Jerome and Minnie Byrd Berry.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Joel C. Mack and one son, Dwayne Mack.

She was a member of Mayo Missionary Baptist Church where she served on the missionary ministry.

Those left to cherish he memory include one daughter, Glenda (Sammy) Thompson, of Cambridge, MD; two sons, Rev. Dwight (Gayle) Mack, of Martinsville, VA; and Joel (Lynette) Mack, of Jacksonville, FL; 10 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held Friday, October 13, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Mayo Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Dwight Mack, officiating.

A public viewing will be held Thursday, October 12, 2023 from 1:00 to 5:00 PM at Hines Funeral Services Chapel and will be at the home at 60 Blue Knob Road, Martinsville, VA at other times.

Due to the rise of Covid it is requested that masks be worn when visiting the home.
