Rita Diane Penn

Rita Diane Penn, 61, of Ridgeway, VA transitioned to her heavenly home on Thursday, January 30, 2025 at her home.  She was born, March 19, 1963 in Eden. NC a daughter of the late Edward, Jr. and Gloria Hairston Penn.

She was a dedicated employee at HanesBrand for 40 years and was a member of Shiloh Apostolic Temple in Ridgeway where she served on the Outreach ministry.

Those left to cherish her memory include:  her daughter, Sheikeka Penn, of Ridgeway, VA; one brother, Carlos Penn, of Ridgeway, VA; two sisters, Valerie Penn, of Ridgeway, VA; and Retta Hairston, of Martinsville, VA and 2 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Friday, February 7, 2025 at 12:30 PM at Hines Funeral Services Chapel with Bishop James F. Millner, officiating.  Burial will follow in Fair Haven Memorial Gardens in Spencer, VA.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home one half hour prior to the funeral and will be at the home at 119 Antioch Church Street, Ridgeway at other times.

A public viewing will be held Thursday, February 6, 2025 from 1:00 to 5:00 PM at Hines Funeral Services.
