Louis Henry Pritchett

Mr. Louis Henry Pritchett, 83, of Martinsville, VA transitioned on Tuesday, July 11, 2023 at his home.  He was born in Martinsville, VA on September 25, 1939 a son of the late Henry and Addie Wimbush Pritchett.

He was retired from the Martinsville City School system and was a member of Grace Presbyterian Church where he served as an Elder, Session member, Usher, Trustee, Liturgist, Men's choir, Youth Sermon Presenter, and Life Bible Study participant.  He was also a member of the Martinsville Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. NEA and VEA.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Mary Johnson Pritchett, of the home; one daughter, Yolanda (Gregg) Newland, of Charlotte, NC; one sister, Gloria U. Pritchett, of Virginia Beach, VA; one brother, Warren G. (Debbie) Pritchett, of Mt. Vernon, NY; and one grandson, Gregory L. Newland.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 15, 2023 at 12:00 PM at Grace Presbyterian Church with Rev. Kelvin G. Perry, officiating.  Burial will follow in Roselawn Burial Park.  The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the funeral. A public viewing will be held Friday at Hines Funeral Services from 1:00 to 5:00 PM.
