Cleotilde Laquerta Coles

Cleotilde Laquerta Coles, 96, of 101 Moral Hill Drive, Axton, VA transitioned on Sunday, August 6, 2023 at her home.  She was born November 19, 1926 in Sorsogon, Phillipines a daughter of the late Justino and Basilisa Malapitan Laquerta.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, William T. Coles, Sr., and one son William T. Coles, Jr.

She is survived by three daughters, Sheryl Coles, of Atlanta, GA; Cynthia Hodge, of Axton, VA; and Tilde Stewart of Winston-Salem, NC; five sons, Robert T. Coles, Sr. of  Martinsville, VA;  Albert L. Coles, Sr. of Danville, VA; James F. Coles, Sr., John F. Coles and Martin J. Coles, all of Axton, VA; 18 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 12, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Hines Funeral Services Chapel with Minister Eddie Hairston and Rev. F. Dion Noel, officiating.  Burial will follow in the Jamison Family Cemetery in Axton, VA.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home one half hour prior to the funeral and will be at the home at other times
